A FIMO workshop built around experimentation
The Earrings Lab is Nikah Costa’s main polymer clay workshop in Vienna. Instead of following one fixed visual technique, you explore the material and develop your own ideas using colours, cutters, textures, pigments and surface effects.
You can arrive with a design in mind or discover it during the session. Roberta demonstrates the essential steps, helps you understand the material and supports you as you turn your experiments into wearable earrings

What you will learn

What you will make
You will create up to four pairs of earrings, depending on the size and complexity of your designs. Your pieces are normally baked during the session so you can take them home the same day. If a design needs extra finishing time, the specific collection or delivery arrangement will be explained at the event.

Marbled Earrings
Learn two ways to create marbled effects with polymer clay. Small changes in colour, layering and movement produce completely different results, so every slab and every pair of earrings is individual.

meet the tutor
Hey there!
I'm Roberta Modulo, the Brazilian artist and jewellery maker behind Nikah Costa. I have been making jewellery for more than twenty years and now host colourful, beginner-friendly polymer clay workshops in Vienna.
I have taught classes, tutorials and online symposiums. In 2025, I also joined the Design and Technology Department at the University of Arts Linz for a summer-semester project, teaching students how to work creatively with polymer clay.
My workshops combine practical guidance with a welcoming and playful atmosphere where everyone has space to experiment and develop their own style.

What is the difference between the open Lab, Marbled and Terrazzo?
The Earrings Lab gives you the most freedom to explore different tools and effects. Marbled and Terrazzo are focused editions that guide you through one defined surface technique.
What is the terrazzo technique in polymer clay?
Small pieces of coloured polymer clay are arranged on a contrasting polymer clay base to create a scattered pattern inspired by terrazzo surfaces. The slab is then rolled, cut and transformed into earrings.
